Know About Clutches and Manifold Gaskets



In this article we will learn about clutch facing. It is made up of modifier, fibre, rubber, crumb, metal particles, lubricant, and abrasive. It is classified into two categories which are asbestos and non- asbestos.A clutch pads are nothing but a mechanical device which is used for transmission of power from one component to another when they are made to work together but can also be dismantled. They are used whenever one needs to control motion either in amount or over.
Its simplest application, the clutches are employed in devices which have two rotating shafts namely drive shaft and line shaft. In these devices one shaft is attached to the motor or the power unit while the other shaft provides output power for the work to be done.Different types of clutches are friction clutch, cone clutch, dog clutch, overrunning clutch, safety clutch, electromagnetic clutch and others.Friction clutches are some of the well-known type of clutches. The basic purpose of friction is to connect a rotating member which is more stationery. Its purpose is to bring speed and to transmit power with slight slippage. Before moving further know what is gasket, it is a seal between two mating surface sometimes rubber, paper, laminate, steel shim, alloy, plastic etc. Your vehicle has two manifold gaskets, first is the exhaust manifold which routes exhaust gas away from the engine and out of the exhaust lines. Both the gaskets need the same type of replacement procedures.An Intake Manifold Gasket is a kind of malleable material which is set between air intake manifold. In this the cylinder heads and blocks in a gasoline powered internal combustion engine. Intake of manifold gaskets prevents the leakage of air.  In other words the air-fuel mixture seals the gap between these two.
